Statement of regret made by Ambulance Victoria at the inquest of Veronica CAMPBELL on the 12" April, 2010
The management, executives and staff of Ambulance Victoria extend their sincerest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Mrs Veronica Campbell, not only for the anguish and pain that they felt at the time of her death in 2008, but also for their loss and sorrow since that time. We understand that revisiting the circumstances of Mrs Campbell’s death by way of a coronial Inquest is likely to create feelings of anguish and sadness for family members and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
Ambulance Victoria regrets the delay, which occurred during the transfer of Mrs Campbell from Cobram District Hospital to Goulburn Valley Hospital and has made substantial efforts and taken a number of significant measures to improve the delivery of its services.
