An inquest was conducted by Coroner Wilmoth in case Numbers 1466 of 1990 and 173 of 1989 and a finding made on 10 March 1992 as to the death of Ms Cindy Ward and the circumstances of the death. The finding was made on the basis of circumstantial evidence including forensic odontologist reporting and reconstruction of a facial profile in relation to remains which had been located at Mt Disappointment in Victoria.
